Koru FX: Ingredients, Benefits & How to Use

What Is Koru FX and What Is It Used For?

Koru FX is a topical cream for joint and muscle discomfort. It was previously sold as Relief FX, and some retailers still list it under that older name, so check the carton in your hand. The brand also sells a separate professional-sized tube called Koru FX Pro, which is a different product.

Who people typically buy it for

It's for everyday aches after activity. Designed for small joint and muscle groups such as fingers, wrists, ankles and toes. If your pain is persistent, keeps returning or came on after an injury, our Pharmacist team or your GP can look at it.

Koru FX Ingredients: What's in the Formula?

The listed ingredients

The Koru FX formula combines almond, arnica, calendula, emu oil, grapeseed, eucalyptus, marjoram, peppermint, juniper, rosemary, black pepper, manuka and nutmeg oils, plus manuka honey, beeswax, emulsifying wax and sterile water. Retailer listings count these slightly differently: 16 ingredients on the manufacturer's site, 17 on one retailer's page. Always read the list printed on your own pack.

How to Use Koru FX Cream Safely

Directions

Apply Koru FX gently to the sore area and massage it in until absorbed. Use it up to four times daily.

Precautions and who should check first

  • Eyes and broken skin: Keep it away from your eyes, and do not apply it to open wounds or infected skin.
  • Allergies: Several ingredients are plant or bee-derived. If you have a known allergy to any ingredient, including honey, beeswax or essential oils, do not use it.
  • Patch test: If you have sensitive skin, try a small area first and stop if you notice redness, itching or blistering.
  • Ongoing pain: If you find yourself needing pain medicines often or long term, you shouldn't manage that alone. Our joint health guide covers when to seek assessment.

Want a simple safe-use reference? We're preparing a downloadable joint and muscle cream safe-use checklist covering patch testing, application tips and when to stop. Register your interest with our pharmacy team and we'll let you know when it's ready.

Koru FX Benefits, Limitations and What to Expect

Koru FX is fast acting and non-greasy, with beeswax for added moisturising. Essential oils like peppermint and eucalyptus do create a cooling, aromatic sensation on the skin.

If you haven't noticed any improvement after a reasonable trial, or the pain is getting worse, spreading, or waking you at night, stop and talk to us or your GP. Swelling, heat, numbness or pain after a fall all deserve proper assessment rather than more cream.
